Fox Deportes’ Haz el cambio campaign leads to record numbers

Fox Deportes launched its Haz el cambio campaign in a page of the presidential elections, and as a result, has experienced the highest viewership for sports news in the history of the network for the second quarter of the year and July. The network also won its first Gold 2012 PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design award in the Art, Direction and Design category for its Con Garra campaign.“These wins are due to the quality of programming we offer our target consumer with more live news and commentary hours in Spanish than anyone else in the industry” said Vincent Cordero, executive vice president and general manager, FOX Deportes. “When you add to that the caliber of talent that we feature in our programming, we knew viewers would choose us as the source for sports news information and soccer talk, which results in award-winning campaigns”.The Haz el Cambio campaign began in June created public service announcements-style spots that positioned hosts Alejandro Blanco and Daniel “El Ruso” Brailovsky, as political candidates running for office. Using campaign language like “yes we can,” “you have the power to make the change” and “join the cause”, Fox Deportes intended to get consumers excited about FOX Deportes news and information programming.
